I recently installed a tutorial program involving Excel 2003. However, I
tried to access the tutorial and the following message came up: "run-time
error 339. component 'mciwndx.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly
registered: a file is missing or invalid". How can I get rid of this message
so that I can access my tutorial program. Appreciate any help that anyone
can give me!!

Hi Chuck,
That run-time error is usually an installer file that had dependencies
that didn't get installed. A dependancy can best be described as one
file needing another file to "run." If the file isn't there, then you
get the run-time error.
Try this site:'Error 339'
See if it's what your looking for.

Hey Treeman,

Thanks for the quick response. I went to the website and noticed the link
for the download. However, when I clicked on the "run-time error 339"
download, it took me back to where I started. What am I doing wrong, and
what do I need to do to download what I need? Thanks.
