I upgraded my machine (or bought new parts and built it up, I was curious as to how I would get a better overall rating in 3D mark 2003 (3dmark03) as I get 1600 or there abouts.
My system setup is a:
- Intel P4 2.8ghz with 800mhz FSB (with hyperthreading)
- Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000 Mobo 800mhz FSB with HT
- 2x 256mb ram DDR 400mhz (using the Dual Channel DDR slots)
- Ge-Force 4 Ti 4600 (128mb ram)
- 120Gb Seagate HDD
- HyperThreading Turned on.
- Direct X 9.0a
I would have assumed this thing would punch out and give great results in 3dmark03, I reinstalled XP and tested it got the same results, then installed nortons and all my software tested and got the same, installed hte latest nVidia drivers (44.03) and still no dice.
Ive turned off antialiasing etc etc just to test it and see if that would increase and still no.
Everything else runs great (or most games that I tested)
so why is my 3dmark tests so low, and could it be something setup in the bios?
Thanks.
