haha 7. I don't really know what framerate you will be getting, but i know that it should be plenty playable. I am looking at a similar setup but with a gtx 285. You should better off than most people can afford to be. that's probably why daship made the sarcastic remark. it can be a little annoying when someone seems to have an unlimited budget and asks "how well does this run crysis".

i'm not annoyed, but i am just telling you other people will be with posts like that.

I wouldn't get a cheap motherboard though with all of the other nice hardware. That's like putting 1000 hp in a car with walmart tires. The motherboard is where the rubber meets the road. All of your system components come together there, so i wouldn't go "cheap". I would go with the p6t deluxe v2...

Or you can go for MSI X58 Pro which is cheaper and still a good motherboard. Also Gigabyte has really good motherboards.
And yes, the monitor REALLY matters. Now let us know how much do you want to spend and we can find something suitable for you.

I posted this a little while back, but your planned rig seems very close to my set up, so it's still relevant.

---

I just finished playing both Crysis and Warhead on a new rig that I just put together with the following specs:

* Antec TruePower Quattro 1000 Watt ATX Modular Power Supply
* Intel Core i7 920 (2.66 GHz) (not overclocked yet)
* V8 Universal CPU Cooler
* MSI X58 Platinum SLI (Best bang for buck I could find)
* EXGA GeForce GTX 295 Video Card
* Corsair XMS3 6GB DDR3-1600 (PC-12800) CL9 DIMM Memory
* (x2) 1 Terabyte Seagate Barracuda drives in a Raid 0 array

In Crysis I found that I got the best results (40fps average), by staying with a 1680 x 1050 resolution with everything on very high / enthusiast settings and 2x AA enabled. On your system you should easily get about 30-40 fps with it set to 1680 x 1050 with everything on high to very high and 2x AA enabled (assuming no system bottle necks). I tried a higher resolution, but then I had to sacrifice too many settings to keep my fps comfortably in the 40s. At 1680x1050 the game still looks AMAZING with everything maxed out with 2x AA.

overclock everything and get a kickass motherboard or it will all go to waist

any way when overclocked you are looking at say what 55fps - 65fps maybe?
