Same problems with Abit IS7 as IC7?

I'm looking at buying Abit IS7 as it seems as good value for the money. But does anyone know if the I865 boards from Abit suffer from the same memory timing/RAID-problems as the 875?
I'm also wondering if I MUST have PATA to SATA-converters if I'm going to use my two PATA hd's in a RAID-0 setup?

This board only supports RAID through the use of Serial ATA, so yes, you'll need them. The only other alternative is buying an ATA 100 or 133 PCI RAID card.
