as per my specs down below, i have windows vista. now playing crysis on it was very hair pulling. would top 30 fps

windows 7 on other hand is a godsend! i can easily scrape 60 - 85 fps when free and 45 - 50 fps when in battle.

i cant believe how much of an improvement their was!!!:) :) :)

has this happened to any one else that has upgraded to 7 rc?? would like to know.

NOTE: game settings for both vista and 7 = gamer/high, no aa, 1280x720(yeah i know but still looks dam good)

I use max settings at 19x12 and it still plays fine.

Well the main reason people are commenting about it is because a 4870X2 at that res is quite useless since it does very little work.

try it at 1920x1080p and see if it runs that great.

As for the FPS boost, I have heard that 7 is highly optimized. I only wounder if they will give Vista the same optimizations via SP2....

It will help that it's a clean install of Windows (I assume) with very little going on in the background.
