I have a P-4, 2.4Gb,GA-8INXP(F4) mb,2GB(333),ATI9700Pro(Catylist 3.4),S.B.Audigy,200GB h.d.Win. XP Pro(SP1). I would like to overclock this system! Does anyone know the best configuration for this system? I have EASYTUNE from Gigabyte(which allows me to tune through windows). My scores on 3DMARK2001 are consistant around the 14,000's(14,378) using stock settings. Also, I can't seem to be stable @ 8x AGP! I'm wondering if there is a patch or fix for this? Let me know.....

Dear Jeannu,

I have a 8inxp too with a Sapphire rad 9700 pro once in a while i get the error in XP: "thread stuck in device driver, please reboot" My screen turns to standard vga so my catalyst drivers are kicked out...Do I have to switch to AGP4x to get it stable...
By the way use easy tune to overclock your system it is on the driver cd of the mobo. I tested it ones and got it stable on FSB 140 MHZ clocking my p4 2667 to 2800 mhz.

YES. In order to be stable, you'll need to switch to 4x AGP in the bios of the mb. I don't know why they came out with 8x AGP for this board?!!! Maybew there will be a bios update in the future! You say you 're stable with FSB 140?What about the other settings? Did you tinker with them?
