Epox 8RGA+ onboard GF4MX questions

Hi,

I'm trying to find out about the onboard graphics performance of the 8RGA+. I'm not too familiar with IGP, how does this work? The only specs listed are that it's a GeForce4MX, I assume for memory it uses system memory? I currently have a Geforce2MX 32MB card, would performance increase be noticable? Is performance of an nforce2 based IGP motherboard less than that of a motherboard without IGP? Thanks for the help!

Sometimes you will have some performance boost, but it's not that better than discrete GeForce2 MX. And IGP hurts performance, in my tests, about 10%.

My advice is, don't buy an IGP mobo, keep your current grafix card for few more days. Later buy a cheap and good grphics card (R8500LE/R9100 or GeForce4 Ti4200 64 MB)
