A Quick Question on my Mobo/CPU Setup

Here is my hardware setup right now as far as Mobo, CPU and RAM go:

-Asus A7N8X Deluxe Rev 1.06 Mobo, 1004 BIOS
-AMD Athlon XP 2800+ Barton 2.1 GHz CPU
-1 GB PC2700 Corsair XMS DDR RAM

So my question is, should I be able to set my FSB in the BIOS to 200 MHz, or is the current 166 MHz supposed to be what it is at? For some reason, when I set it to 200 MHz, it wouldn't boot past the Memtest startup screen (it'd do the memtest, then go to do the other pre-winXP stuff, and then hang when I set it to 200 MHz).

Anywho, just curious. I'm not into overclocking or anything, just want to get the best performance out of what I have without OC'ing. :)

you're not into overclocking?? Well by setting your FSB to 200Mhz, you are essentially overclocking. PC2700 is supposed to be at 166Mhz...(DDR333). Too bad you didn't go and buy the PC3200, as you would be able to hit 200Mhz easier. If you want to hit 200Mhz, I would suggest lowering your multiplier and upping the FSB. With your PC2700, it might be hard to hit a FSB of 200, so you might have to up the voltage of the memory, and loosen up the timings.
