I'm building a PC. Have GA-7VXP-A Ultra mobo, 512Mb DDR PC2700 ram, Athlon XP 2100+ CPU.

During stage testing with just Mobo, memory, CPU and a spare video card (S3 Virge DX)to make sure she powers up ok - the startup screen shows the CPU as a 1500+.

Mobo is set to Auto detect CPU bus speed, so any ideas as to what is going on here?

Would appreciate some help here guys.

mostly ur mobo is setting the FSB to 100. change it over to 133 (manual setting if needed) and u wud get the normal speed of 2100+. u say u have the PC2700 Ram. try 166 FSB if ur processor supports that much. Good Luck
