Spybot S&D crashes.

Each time I use Spybot S&D at various points in the scan the sytem crashes.
Each scan crashes after a diiferent lenght of time into the scan. I
uninstalled the old one using the uninsatll off the menu in All Programs and
then downloaded the newest virsion from Download.com & re-installed. What is
the problem and can this be corrected? I also have MS AntiSpyware,
Spysubtract (Trial version) for CWShredder. Thank you. XYZ

Have you sought and installed updates for Spybot v1.3?

Have you tried running it in Safe Mode?

Thank you for the info on the Spybot site-I will contact them.
I never thought of trying in safe mode & will do so now. Thanks again. xyz
