Hey guys,

I'm having a bit of a problem here. Or at least I think.

Here are my specs:

Intel Core 2 e8400 @ 3.2 ghz
4gb G-Skill Ram 800mhz
Ati Radeon 4870 512mb
Gigabyte ep45-ud3r mobo
22' Acer monitor

Now, I have just installed Crysis and started playing. I am trying to play on all Very high on at least a 1280x1024 resolution.

Here is first thing I noticed:

Why am I getting all these red errors in the console? It says it's GFX files so Im assuming it has something to do with why I am also getting low framerate. Is this normal??? I don't think it is because I am also getting VERY low Fps (10-15 fps!)

Second:

Why am I getting such LOOOW framerates on this res? I have a pretty good pc and all the videos that I seen on youtube people are playing with lower specs on a higher res/very high with alot better frames than me.

Im getting as low as 10 fps!! Why is this happening? I have all the latest drivers for my video card (Catalyst 9.5 atm)

Normal turn the settings down a bit.

FPS does seem low, what are your settings? AA ect?

it might be the fact that although your cpu and ram will suffice you gpu does not

512 MB 4870 is probably the culprit here. Having only a Duo probably hurts Crysis a bit too...

Still, 10FPS does seem on the low side...

Turn off AA, and crank down the Aniso from 16 X to 8 x.
Crysis is a demanding game. Dont feel bad about it, although as other people metioned 10 FPS is low but it makes sence if you are trying to play at maxed out settings with AA on. Even on my HD4870 1GB Crossfire PC I have AA at 0, although I play at 1920x1080 with 16XAniso and frame rate at around 40FPS Ave

BTW thats the biggest reason for Cryengine 3 and upcoming Crysis 2. They optimized teh engine so people with mid level GPUs can play the game.

Cheers
