Hello, computer wizards! :)

I'm a complete amateur when it comes to the nitty-gritty of computers, so there's no chance of me being able to sort this out on my own. Basically, I just recieved Star Trek: Armada 1 through the mail, and I'm trying to get it to run on my laptop, but I can't do it. It can go to Acer Arcade Deluxe and play the soundtrack at me, which is no help at all, but if I go to the program in Computer and double-click it, it asks me if I want to allow the program, then...nothing. Literally. I get the loading circle next to the cursor for about five seconds, then it disappears and the whole laptop tried to pretend nothing happened.

Would love some advice on this, as it's a great game from my childhood, and I would so like to revisit it. Please help? Thanks!

Tom.

Oh, and for reference purposes, my Laptop is an Acer Aspire 7530, with Windows Vista Home Premium. I'm not sure of the specs...
