I'm going to visit Singapore at the end of this month. So i'm planning to buy a gaming console from there.
Since i don't have the budget for buying a PS3 ,should i go for a PS2 ?
Also, will there be games releasing for PS2 in future or for only PS3 ? Is it worth buying a PS2 ?

I have only one worry that if by the end of this year the game publishers discontinue to make games for PS2 and would release games only for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii etc.
Is there any official news Published mentioning till which year there would be game releases for PS2 ?

The PS2 still has 100 announced games in development, plus a library of several thousand. Its good to go for a while still.

Also note, you might want to see if a you can dig up a 60GB PS3 from a store somewhere. I know cost is an issue, but its possible you could still find a steal. Also note, early 80GB models have software compabability, which is very accurate.
