What game was this?

Ok this is a stupid question. A game game out about 3 years ago, I tried the demo but my computer was too slow. I was thinking about looking at it again.

It was a first person shooter type game. I can't remember the "time frame" of when the game was taking place, maybe post WWII, you started out on a ship that got sunk or by a german sub I think... , and then got on this island and there was all these mutant monster people or something. And some guy was trying to help that would talk though some com system or something.

Sorry this is really vague. I think it was popular at the time. Any ideas?

Ok I am an idiot, I remebered it right after I hit submit. Go figure. I'd been trying to remeber what it was for days now.

It was Bioshock.

Yeah Bioshock, although your story is all wrong. You dont start off from a sunken ship but rather you are in a plane that crashes near a lighthouse in the middle of the ocean. You enter the light house and than you submerge to a city underwater. There are no monsters but rather genetically mutated humans, that have gone mad over time.

Cool game. I cant wait for Bioschock 2. It will also include Multiplayer...
