Q:
OK, the "NEW" menu/option is missing from the "FILE" button (top left hand corner of window) and the right hand context mouse button. The other options- cut and paste, etc are there.

The fault seems to have occured after instaling new display drivers, but it might have been a coincidence.

How do you easily restore this option without using the registry?

A: I'd prolly try to reinstall over the old install.

Same damn thing happened to me. Strangely enough I too had recently installed the newest Nvidia drivers. When you say a new install over the old install, do you mean Windows or Nvidia drivers?
