I can't play mpeg files in Windows Media Player 8(the one that comes with Windows XP). I get an error message every time. "Cannot play back the file. The format is not supported". I've tried another media player called VideoLan, and it seems to play mpeg files fine but I don't like the interface and it's just very choppy when it plays. Does anyone know what the problem could be?
