Hopefully someone here can assist me with this problem.

Fallout 3 hangs during dialogue, VATS, or when I'm searching boxes or random things like that. Outside of that the game runs just fine for the most part small little hangs here and there when it needs to load things in the distance. I've been messing with settings in DXDIAG in terms of sound hardware acceleration, I've turned down the settings on graphics and it just hangs. For example, let's start with the dialogue. I enter the conversation and the NPC is talking and all is well, I click the mouse and the NPC keeps talking but it just hangs in the first box, then it catches up like my CPU is too hot or something, but the temp runs around 32-37 degrees Celsius. My video card runs around 40 degrees, Neither of which are stock coolers.

Specs are as such:

If you need more than what was listed there, just ask and I'll get it to you. I'm bent on solving this because it's just annoying... I'm wondering if it was the patch...? And has anyone ever had this issue?

Thanks so much for your help!

Make sure your swap file is on the C drive. I had my swap file on another physical raptor and the game was hanging every few minutes, put it back on C with system managed size and hey presto, no more hangs
