RPG/interactive environments?

First person shooter?

Real-time strategy games?

etc.?

Sorry, I'm planning to build a pc soon and I plan to do some mild gaming and I wasn't sure if its mostly all the same. I need help to develop a general idea of what I need. Much appreciated.

Generally all the same.

RTS will hammer CPU more though.

Racing games and FPS probably more graphics in general.

Console ports (GTA4) and poorly coded games (Crysis) will always be a problem
