I have had the RC installed for some time now and everytime I would close and reopen my laptop the sounds would stop working. I installed the actual release of windows 7 pro yesterday and I hoped that would solve the problem. However, I'm having no luck. Same problem. Any ideas?

Go to energy options, and look for the option to configure the action that the system do when you close the monitor of the laptop. The option must be say "do nothing". Try this, could be the problem.
