Hello everyone,

Well my sound issues have not gone away.

So I made another phone call (at my expense) to Asus and spoke with Frank a supervisor in tech support. (1.5hrs!)

I made mention of numerous other issues that many of you are having and he requested that I post a relevant link from this THG motherboard forum. It appears that Frank is willing to "have a look". Frank stated he would return my phone call tomorrow as he wanted to check on a few things. (including his own PC) Frank is also runing the same set up I have and wants to check his machine out, as he and I found some oddities on my machine concerning memory controllers and forced nVidia video card drivers.
(ATI 9700pro installed never had a nVidia card)

Anyone having an Asus motherboard (A7N8X) related Issue please post it here.

However, I would hope that only RELEVANT ISSUES are posted- NO FLAMING please. If you really want help, please be adult about it, as Asus, nor it's support personal, are required to relpy to any of this at all.

Thanks,

Asus motherboards are very reliable but sadly their customer service is the worst on planet earth....when I order Asus I just pray for a working component

I believe he said to post relevant issues only... Telling them they have bad support is not one...

A few of us are having problems with our P4C800 boards that we would really like help with. The thread is here:

<A HREF="http://forumz.tomshardware.com/hardware/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=543338#543338" target="_new">http://forumz.tomshardware.com/hardware/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=543338#543338</A>

Basically two of us are getting the same error message when trying to boot our PC's. The voice BIOS says "System Failed CPU Test". Since we don't have spare P4 systems to test out the parts on, we can't really be sure that whether or not it is a problem with the Processor or the Mobo.

My setup was working GREAT for 3 months. I mean it was really the best system I've ever had. But then one day it just decided not to boot anymore.

Any help you have would be greatly appreciated. I am in Japan, so if the procedure (i.e. sending the board back) is different here, please let me know.

Thanks again.

I've still never found a way to boot from serial ATA on my A7N8X Deluxe, either from the onboard headers or my HighPoint RocketRaid 1540 SATA PCI card. I tried calling support, but hung up after being on hold for 20 min waiting for an engineer (on my cell-phone!). Several other people seem to have the same problem. Am I going to have to keep an ATA 100 drive as my C forever just to run this board?!
