Hi all,
Which MOBO is the best for P4 2.40B (533Mhz)?, i'm looking for a Gigabyte MOBO so Please recommend few of them, cause the local store may not have the BEST one. I'd appreciate your Recs and which RAM i should take to fit best that MOBO. Many thanks to the best recommnendation as i have a contraint on budget as usual.

One more thing, i just need a stable, fast enough PC for learning programming so if the MOBO has built in components, that would be great!! (I dont have to pay more)

Check pricewatch under motherboards-845ge and you'll see a gigabyte listed on the first page. This chipset won't run the newer 2.4c (800 fsb cpus) but should be fine for the 2.4b. It comes with built in graphics by Intel, which is ok for word processing, but not gaming. I would spend a little more and get a mobo with the 845pe chipset and a cheap video card, such as the radeon 7000.

I'd suggest the Asus P4P800-VM. It has crappy onboard video that can be upgraded later with an AGP card, onboard sound and NIC as well.
