jlanka / keez ...

I'd go over and read some of the ABIT forum posts regarding the IC7-G and the IS7 ... Turns out that since the infamous "PAT" has been "enabled" on the IS7 versions of the ABIT 865 board, it performs very well compared to the "higher-priced, cadillac" version IC7-G. Also, *they* are saying that it even has the CSA lan on there too... BUT, I'd confirm all this by doing your own research.

<A HREF="http://forum.abit-usa.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=13673" target="_new">just one thread over @ abit forums</A>

except from that and you might not even care, I like your system setup you have.

Oh - on the MAXTOR ... I bought the SEAGATES ONLY because I was having a hard time trying to find the MAXTORS in the SATAs ...

Have fun.... -ot

I can't think of any criticism that would be worth mentioning. My response: simply marvelous! :)

yeah, I wish I had this guys money. He's looking to add some real high end professional audio equipment to this thing, something like this: <A HREF="http://www.aardvarkaudio.com/aasd-v1/products/q10-main.html" target="_new">Aardvark Q-10</A>

Wow, I'm not much of an audiophile so all I can say is that looks like some serious equipment there. Should be a good pairing with the above system. ;)

I'd pass on the Antec 430W power supply and get the Fortron 400W unit, as it has a higher capacity, better efficiency, lower noise, and lower price.

Also I'd get the IS7-G because it performs as well as the IC7-G (with the latest BIOS), cost less, and has a space between the AGP and first PCI slot (allows for better graphics cooling if both slots are filled).

I should've posted this before I ordered. Oh well, I think the Antec will at least work for him. Thanks for the tip
