9800GT will help a lot, but you will need a GOOD quality 550W PSU, you present one is not good enough.

9800GT's are a little dated now, definitely powerful though. I would personally lean towards a 4850 since they are cheaper or equal in price and perform better than a 9800GT. Also like noted above you will need to get a better PSU. Me personally, I have an overclocked Intel E2180 @ 3Ghz 4 sticks of ram, 1 HDD, 1 Optical, and a 4870 on a Thermaltake PurePower 500W. I have two rails, and there only 14A and 15A. Been running awesome without any issues.
