I have asked many people about my agp problem and no-one can help. my Microstar MS6382 version 1.0 motherboard is shown as being agp 4x on msi's website. all diagnostic programs tell me otherwise. here is some of the report from Powerstrip:

The bios is missing the agp mode option. I have tried entering the "EnableVia4x" into the registry but to no avail. Strangely enough trying to install the latest via4in1 drivers crashes at a hundred percent. Somebody please help.

If thats the VIA KT133(A) chipset then it probably has something to do with the chipset drivers which are absolute pants. When I tried to install them once the computer never booted again and I ended up leaving the board in PCI mode after formatting. Try downloading the latest drivers but be prepared for instability.
