GTA IV PC Gamepad Controller

Hi there,

I've no problem running this game, unlike many others I should be thankful I know! But I do have one niggling error that I'd like to fix, I can't get my gamepad to work on it.

It's a Logitech Rumblepad 2 with vibration.

I know some of the patches say they fix it to allow it to work but I've had no success even after I've downloaded the patches. I downloaded numbers 3 and 4 of the patches from Rockstar.

When I go to the screen to configure the controller, there is no input from it and the screen just shows the various button options flashing on screen, I can't click on them. Even on the mapping page, there is no response after pressing the buttons on the gamepad.

I've completely uninstalled GTA IV now and will reload it. But do you know if there is a correct procedure to follow, maybe in patch download sequence, to get this gamepad to work with this game?

I hate driving with the keyboard!
