Hi all

I'm a big fan if Battlefield 1942,Vietnam, and 2 (and their mods of course).
I usually play local coop, just me vs. bots, (and please dont bash me for not playing multiplayer) I try to play with 64 bots and for the most part the game runs fine but when an intense fight goes on it starts to lag like crazy. and yes i have played with just 32 bots and it runs fine but its just not the same without 64 bots.

What i want to know is what part of my PC (ram,cpu,gpu) handles bots and how i can improve performance depending on what part.

My specs are

CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz
CPU speed: 2.99 GHZ
RAM: 3 GB
OS: Windows XP service pack 3
Video card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 320mb OC
Hard drive: 150 GB, (have 45 GB free as of now and can uninstall many games if I have to)

Thanks =)

Are you my twin?

I am surprised to hear that you get lags. BF2 isn't really that intense of a game. I used to play it on high settings with no AA on my P4, 6800GT AGP card, and with 2GB of RAM.

Have you updated the game to the most recent patch? Also, have you updated your video card drivers to the most recent NV drivers?

Yep everything is up to date. I too play with all settings on high and no AA, although i use a mods which allows 64 size maps with 64 bots to be played on local coop and singleplayer.

I have decided to upgrade my CPU, check this thread if you'd like, i could use some help.
