Far Cry Issue - Already patched n' hotfixed.

Man, I am having intense problems with Far Cry 2 and my new ATI HD 4890. When I boot up the game, I can't even get past that first little intro movie where the silhouetted character is walking away from the sunset.

I've installed all the various patches for the game (v1.03), updated DirectX, and installed the freshest Catalyst drivers including the Far Cry 2 hotfix.

I still can't get even get past that one intro movie. Is there something I can do or hack to skip that in case that's the problem?

Now, I just bought this new ATI HD 4890 and upgraded from a pair of 8800 Ultras. So I was able to play the game fine using the 8800s (well, it did still crash all the time, but at least I could play a little).
