Diablo 1 IPX problem

I'm having some Diablo 1 problems. ( Obviously ) We'll, when I try to play LAN with my brother using an Ethernet Cable ( just a cable ) with protocall installed, and when I host a game, he can see it, but when he tries to connect it says "Unable to connect to "My connection name"". I have firewall down, IPX/TCP protocall installed, and have went through other tutorials to fix this. I'm not trying to go online, just wanting to play LAN with my brother. I use Windows XP and Service pack is up-to-date. I have the game along with other things to play it in the firewall's "Exception" list. Our pc's also are fully able to play this game, and my brother and I have the same version of Diablo. Any suggestions?
