I'm currently using vista on a laptop with a widescreen. When I play a game that has a standard screen (4:3) ratio, my computer would automatically stretch it to fit the widescreen, making most games look "fatter". Is there anyway to disable this?

Use a regular monitor.

select a widescreen resolution within the game, if it doesn't have one the game sucks or it's too old.

Thanks for the reply. It is indeed older games I'm talking about, specifically Starcraft and Warcraft 3. Using a regular monitor isn't always an option. ^^;

yup. just change the game resolution. had that prob also on my laptop. a quick smack to the head from a friend also helped. lol
