Motherboard enquiry

My only thoughts on that board are: Just Say No.

Right now there is no good reason not to go with an i875 or i865 intel chipset unless you need dual processors or some feature not offered by the springdale or canterwood chipsets.

Check out the ABit IS7-G or Asus P4P800 Deluxe... they're both top of the line performance for a good price.

Indeed. Go springdale (Intel 865pe) on this build: more performance, better upgrade path, reasonable price.   Abit IS7 and Asus P4P800 are two great boards.

The 8SG800 was a GREAT board in it's day, but ever since Intel released the 875, those days were numbered! Your best solution in that price range now is the Abit IS7, with the Intel 865PE chipset.
