First I just want to stress the total beginner bit.I've noticed questions like this all over the internet but everyone suggests so many different things including things only needed if you want to work it as a TV or computer too.

Basically, I'd like to play my [slimline] ps2 on a computer monitor to avoid paying for a TV licence in halls. I don't need it to function as an actual TV nor a computer. I just need to use the ps2. What would I need to do this?
