Well I heard that maybe most Americans wouldn't be ready to see this movie after 9/11. I went to see it last night and it wasn't soo bad. Maybe that's cause it wasn't my country(Canada) and I also didn't lose anything to it. I'd just like to ask for any opinions on this matter.
By the way, I thought it was a great movie, probably one of my top 10 ever, since I'm a big Tom Clancy fan. The graphics were really great!
I didn't see it, but I have a teacher in my school, that was in it. My history teacher, is his girlfriend, he taught me in Secondary 2 sports, he is tall, black but not a very dark skin. She said he appears temporarily after the A-bomb scene. If anyone may think he has seen him, please tell me! BTW he and I live in Hull Quebec, just so you know, and from what my history teacher said, the film was partly made in Montreal, explaining how he got there in the first place. If his name is relevant, it's Joel Desrosiers.
Well as for me I'm in the crowd in the movie Superbowl match scene(it was shot in the Montreal Olympic stadium),I'm somewhere in the stadium...hard to tell exactly where (I was seat 11 row AA in the 210 section) didn't see myself...the movie itself is not bad but I tought it would have been better.

First off, I've never read completely through a Tom Clancy book.
I wasn't too impressed with the movie. The plot was a bit too predictable, and there wasn't really anything memorable. Most movies there are a couple scenes that stand out, or an actor that did a great job, or some good special effects, or a hot chick, or SOMETHING that stands out when you leave. That didn't happen with this movie, I don't know if it was just me or not.
I saw sum of all fears, spiderman, and about a boy all today. All were pretty good. I found sum of all fears to be rather intense in certain ways since I see things from both the American and the Russian point of view. I guess it bothers me that we still would make such a movie. Maybe it's time to move on from the Russian against USA against Russia movies. It's just time to move on. It's just horrible to think about let alone see portrayed.
I have a computer and it does weird stuff. please help.
Your a tom clancy fan and you dont object to the rampant ass raping they did to the story?
Or the fact ben afflec is playing jack ryan a character that alec baldwin OWNED, (harrison ford sucked too).
The john clancy movies suck imo(except for red october) when compared to the books.
I read the book twice and I thought it was a good book, but with book movies it almost always happens that the movie sucks compared to the book. (Red October was really really good, except for maybe the graphics. Maybe they should do a remake!!) I agree the movies aren't as good as the books, but it's hard to include all of the details without making the movie like 10 hours long... I read the book twice therefore my mind may have filled in some of the extra details making the movie better. Yeah, Alec Baldwin was and still is the best Jack Ryan by far.
Despite the old rivalry between USA and Russia's getting old, Russia falling into corruption of power and losing military control is still a very real danger.
