This is my 3rd system build I've done, I think I will be happy with this one. I was wondering if I should change anything or if it looks good like it is? I plan on overclocking to 400fsb.

Abit NF7-S
AMD XP 2500
Thermalright slk800u
vantec stealth 80mm fan for cooling processor
2x 256mb sticks of Corsair 3200c2pt
Radeon 9600 Pro
80GB WD Caviar 7200rpm hard drive
Lite-On 52x24x52 CDRW Drive
Thermaltake Xaser 3 case with 420W thermaltake PSU

everything looks good to me. If i cud change two things in the setup, they wud be the processor and the mobo. I wud get myself a P42.4C, and a 865 mobo. then again, its individual choice. but i know the P4 2.4C/865 combo will outperform the 2500+/nForce2 combo anyday.
Like you say....
I think I will be happy with this one.
....this is what matters, ultimately

earlier, i think Athlons were better in gaming compared to the P4s, but now with the P4 C-series, i cant say the same. Just hang around till someone with more knowledge replies to ur question.

Right now across the board intel is the better chip. This may change with A64 but right now that's as it stands. Take the PR Rating of any ath chip beyond 2400 and drop 200-600 from the number (about 200 from the 2400 about 600 from the 3200 and that's a rough guess off the top of my head may or may not be totally accurate just seems to be what i remember), that's about the real world performance vs a p4 c varient chip in games and benchies.
