I recently bought a new system and when i play Fallout 3 at all maxed settings (8x AA, High Quality, High Shadows, etc.) i sometimes get this lag that makes my turns sort of choppy. I think it's the video card i'm using. The video card I have is a EVGA Geforce GTX 260 core 216 superclocked edition. Is the video card not strong enough to play everything smoothly? Should i overclock the card a little bit in order to get completely smooth gameplay? I'm sort of anal about super smooth game play because i used up a lot of money for this system and i won't be getting anything else for a long time.

I just got the Gateway DX4820-02 package and added the graphics card and a new PSU

the choppy turns also happens when i play [Protoype] Maxed out and only when i'm gliding.

By choppy, do you mean stuttering? I notice a very subtle but constant stutter when I move the mouse in Fallout 3 with high settings @ 1680x1050 no AA (48701GB,x720BE OC'd 3.2GHz,790GX MB, 4GB DD3 1333, 2x 640GB WD Caviar Black raid 0). This "stuttering" makes it feel kind of weird to aim. I've read that it has something to do with how the game was coded and is not a rendering/performance issue. Try using fraps to see if your FPS drops while this "choppiness" is happening.
