back up files on xp

i have installed the backup utility from the xp start up disk and go thru the
options to select the files i want to backup i select the destination and
the it asks me to enter a file name i have tried the file name in several
formats but it keeps telling me it is an invalid name what type of file
name will it take please type out an example for me thanx

Any file name may be used...simply be careful of special characters and no periods (except for .bkf)
EX: My backup file of 5-14-05.BKF

It will give you the file name error if you try to back up to a CD as well.
You can back up to a CDRW if you format 1st with a UDF packet writting
software like Nero's INCD.
