Are Corsair XMS 3200's unstable with a P4C800 Dlx?

I'm looking into buying 2 sticks of 512 mb Corsair 3200's for an Asus P4C800 Deluxe. I've recently been told that the 512 version of this ram is unstable with that mobo by someone on these forums. He recommended getting the 3500s for it. I dont think I can afford these though.

So, is it true? Will the Corsair 3200s be unstable and therefore make me have to lower the timings? I dont want to have to do this.

Has anyone with this setup encountered any problems? Or has it ran to your expectations?

The corsair LL and LLPT models with the 2 2 2 5 timings are unstable on the 875P/865PE chipsets. I think any chip with the 2 2 2 5 timings may be unstable, but corsair specifically. The CMX512-3200C2 chips should be fine... just avoid the TWINX1024-3200LL or the CMX512-3200LLPT chips.

yes, pretty much all low latency RAM has problems with 865. though often you should be OK with more relaxed setting. but then you have to hope future BIOS optimizations allow you to use tighter setting for your hell-of-expensive RAM.

"The CMX512-3200C2 chips should be fine"

Can anyone confirm this? Would 2 sticks of this be the best bang for my buck for my mobo?
