I have an ASUS A7N8X-Deluxe Mobo with an AMD 2500 XP and two sticks each of DDR400. The BIOS asks for:
1. CPU External Frequency (Mhz): Choices are 100,133,166,200
2. CPU Frequency Multiple: Choices are 6.5, 7/15, 7.5, 8/16, 8.5/16.5, 9/17, 9.5, 10, 10.5, 11, 11.5, 12, 12.5, 13, 13.5 and 14.

What are the proper settings for each?

I notice there is no memory frequency settings. Does this mobo automatically read the 400 Mhz frequency, and know that it can double it?

1. CPU External Frequency (Mhz): 166
2. CPU Frequency Multiple: 11

any other setting you change, would be a overclock or underclock for your cpu
sure there is memory setting, but I don't have that mobo, I'm not sure how does that appear in your Bios, it should be advanced chipset setting or sth similar
