Energy Shield and Static Field, yes or no??

Definately go for Static Field, it's a one-point wonder with little to no
prerequisites.

Energy Shield is a bit more tricky; it has quite a lot of prerequisite
skills. I got it for 'almost' free on my FO/CL sorc, bit I have a rare
wand with +2 to ES on switch on my Blizzard/FB sorc, and get ES that way,
without spending the skill points to get it officially.

Regardless, with a nice big mana ball, a 1-point ES with +skills adds
another layer of defense to a sorc...

Ditto others on Static.

ES: well, in certain situations one point can be useful, but you need
all your points to get there. I would make a Memory staff and get it
that way. It only costs a Lum. And I wouldnt recommend having it active
at all times at low levels without telekinesis investment.
