Hi guys,

Is this normal behaviour for a game? My system is mid-range, C2D@3.2ghz, 9600GT card. I'm playing The Witcher currently, and getting very good framerates in indoor areas. Very smooth and responsive. When I go outdoors, the game is still smooth but suddenly feels very sluggish. Like it takes twice as long to make a 180 degree turn compared to indoor areas. If the area is heavily populated, it gets worse and starts stuttering.

I just want to know if this is normal behaviour, as I don't play 3D games often. I'd expect the game to stutter if my graphics card can't keep up, but the slowmotion behaviour in some areas is driving me mad.

What's your display size? At what resolution do you play the game in? It's possible your GPU is too underpowered to properly render everything. Outdoor scenes are usually harder to do so, given the need for distance and detail rendering.
