hey all,

I have a Quad display setup, running a Dell Ultrasharp 3008WFP, and 2 Viewsonic Vp2650WBs, and a 23 Inch Acer. I'm running a 4870x2, and a 4870, I would love to be able to run Flight simulator X using my Dell, and 2 Viewsonics. I haven't been able to find any settings to allow me to do this. My other question is that will I be able to run them at their native resolutions if I can do it, or default to the lowest. (2560*1600 for the dell, and 1920*1200 for the 26 inchers, or would I have to run them all at 1920*1200?) Thanks in advance

Just to be clear, what prevents you from running the game on your desired monitors? What steps have you taken yourself? Have you tried swapping orders so that FSX "sees" them first?

I can run it normal, but only on my main monitor, I'm trying to figure out how to use 3. I can't seem to figure out how to get it to use the other 2 monitors. I know it's possible, but I don't know if you need a 3rd party app/and or hardware. I have seen a few videos of people doing it. I don't know if I need triplehead2go, or what.

Have a look on the "Views" tab in FSX - thses usually overlay some different views or instruments on the main screen. then right click on each on in turn and seclect "un Dock" this will allow you to drag the view to another monitor :)

Here are some links that may only help to confuse you on the subject, but they do contain some useful info.
Specifically the parts concerning the use of the CPU as a deciding factor in performance.
I currently run 2 monitors on a 8800gtx but mainly use the second monitor for guages and GPS that would otherwise be hidden.
The triple head to go seems like it could be a good option but to increase the resolution that much would consume a massive amount of CPU power and you must be setup for that.
