TOCA Race Driver Problems.......

I'm having trouble with TOCA Race Driver, despite having an OK PC;

P3 1GHz
256 Mb RAM
Geforce 3 Ti500
Audigy 2
DirectX 9.0
(all running their latest drivers)

I'm having a lot of problems with jerkyness with the video, It doesn't happen constantly, but enough to make you crash easily at corners.
I have tried cutting the resolution back and reducing the details etc to minimum, but this seems to make no difference at all.

I've also tried shutting down any crap running in the background etc. but nothing seems to make a difference.

Has anyone else had these problems or does anyone have any ideas as to how to solve this?

Yeah I came across your post and have almost the same problem,
I have TOCA 2 Touring Cars and mine just goes completly waco at the menu screens after a while?
Had to uninstall,But will try again soon.
Looking for patches now,
Have not played it in a while as have others.

If ya like Touring type cars get EA's V8 Challenge!
Came out in mid 2002 Great graphics & Play!
Only Australian cars & Tracks but is really neat.
XP friendly too!
Might only find it on ebay or something like that.
