going to be upgrading...basically replacing, my current system. I put together an athlon system . Just wondering if anyone has any comments on the systems. And if this system is compatibel?! suggestions plz ! want to buy as soon im sure...thanx

You may want to save a few $$$ on the SATA drive. Read the info from the link but it seems to me that SATA doesn't offer that much unless ur into RAID (and I don't mean the bug spray :smile: ). Pay careful attention to the performance info/criticisms

SATA's advantage at this point in time is the Amount of CPU usage it has. SATA uses the CPU about 7% of the time where Parallel ATA uses it 43% of the time. A big gain in overhead there if you ask me. True the performance gain isn't the drives. It is the rest of the systems
