saw in other forums that they used cpu-z to detect if pat is on and the result on asus p4p800 is
mam turbo does toggle pat on only when no o/c is active in bios i.e. pat is not active when o/c
but dunno if thats defect of activating pat on i865pe
or is true also for i875

<A HREF="http://www.tt-hardware.com/article.php?op=Print&sid=4528" target="_new">get it here</A>

SoB…grrr.. Houston we have a problem. Yap so far I’m having a hard time getting it enabled. The only time I seen it enable so far was with a ridiculously low speed for both cpu and ram. And instead of it being on Turbo it was on Standard, but showing enabled.

Hmm, so far this sucks, is it to late to return my mojo, what about sue somebody! Heads are going to start rolling, lol. Shizs!

Nice find.

PS If you come accross the thread again, could you please link it?

Well I got my DDR 2400 ram to run at 200MHZ and PAT enabled, but at 2.75 V. Is that safe..Anyone?

Still working on an overclock, though. At least now I have something to go by.

I am wondering about the differences between the settings "turbo" and "memory acceleration mode" in the Asus P4P800 Deluxe. One refers to the option called "performance mode" in the "Advanced" menu and the other refers to the supposed PAT mode in the "Advanced Chipset Settings."

It seems like people use PAT to describe both of these settings and I read on Asus' site that when they refer to PAT they are talking about the memory acceleration mode rather than the turbo mode.

What do you guys think?

Look out I'm on a roll! To bad I been wrong though on this hole PAT thing, lol.

Check this out <A HREF="http://www.vr-zone.com/reviews/Intel/865PE/page5b.htm" target="_new">Users can enable PAT by setting the Performance mode to Turbo</A>

Asus
To enjoy Hyper Path, a unique technology for the ASUS P4P800 series, simply go into the BIOS setup utility. All PCB and BIOS versions support Hyper Path.(Enabled Memory Acceleration Mode)

That would explain why I can see by using the cpu-z that “PAT” Hyper Thread is enabled even when my Performance mode is set to Standard, because the PAT is (Enabled threw Memory Acceleration Mode)

Unless I’m reading it wrong it looks clear to me that Vzone clearly say’s Users can enable PAT by setting the Performance mode to Turbo. Which doesn't seem to be true.

So fare I been able to overclock my DDR 2400 Ram to DDR 3200 <A HREF="http://schwippy.com/loader/uploaded/3.bmp" target="_new">and is enabled to run in Dual Cannel</A> I'm going to keep trying to see if I can get the cpu overclocked, while maintaining the enabled Dual Cannel.
