Hi

At the moment i have

1.3 GHz Athlon T-Bird
512 Mb RAM
Geforce 3 ti200 128Mb
Soundblaster Live 5.1
Asus A7A266 Motherboard.

This rigs done me fine and i can't say i have any complaints with performance.
However games these days seem to be getting higher and higher in the specs and i need to think about my next upgrade for the next few years.

So i have 2 options.

1) Build a New PC.Approx 2.6 GHz Athlon XP.1024 Mb Ram and Geforce 4 ti4800.Need to get new case'PSU'Mobo etc etc too.

2) Just upgrade to a Higher Spec Graphics card such as Geforce 4 ti 4800/Radeon 9800 Pro.Also upgrade to 1024 Mb Ram.

It's all a question of Money and Budget.
Minimum wage'mortgage'wife and 2 kids and trips to the Massage Parlour don't come cheap.
Obviously option 1 is the best and might last a while in the gaming world.
However my current rigs satisfactory and i'm hoping the upgrade of Ram and Graphics Card in option 2 might be enough.

What you guys think?

Thanx

Upgrade your current computer with top of line video card. You dont really need more memory. Spend more on the video board.

-Always put the blame on you first, then on the hardware !!!

if ur on a budget, instead of blowing $300 on a 9800pro, get something like a 9500pro, it will last you just as long and saves u money for other things
