I have noticed when Im download files that my download speeds are nothing compared to my old computer. I just built my new one.
Specs:
Athlon 64 3200+ s-754 2.20GHZ thats what it said it was clocked at.
Asus K8V SE KT800
OCZ PC3200 DDR400 1024MB
WD 200GB SATA 8MB/cache 7200RPM
ATi All in Wonder 9800Pro 128MB DDR
500WATT PSU

I was wondering if there is something to do with my Network card that i have to change or somwething to make my downloads go faster or speed up, its built in. My downloads on my old comp go at 150kb/s+ and my new one goes about 12kb/s and sometimes its high. When i connects it said it connected at 10.0MB, is there anyway to change this?

Yea im kinda new at Win XP since for the past couple of years i only used Windows ME. All XP commands are new to me mostly.

thanks for the help.

Try running some of the registry tweaks from <A HREF="http://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php" target="_new">speedguide.net</A>.

I usually see significant improvement.
