Warcraft 3 Tft. Low fps with gtx 260 :[

Hi, I have a 260 gtx and q6600 processor with a 750 watt psu. I play a lot of 2v2 in warcraft 3 and when battles start to involve a large amount of units, my fps drops to 30-40. Warcraft 3 is a old game and with my hardware I really don't think it should be doing that....

any idea why this is happening? or am I overrating my hardware? maybe warcraft 3 isn't that easy to run?


My monitor is 1650x1050 and I run war3 on max settings.
