Hi all

I have a problem with my new 17" LG FLATRON 795FT Plus monitor. At 1280*1024@85Hz (and other resolutions as well) it produces blurred spots/areas on the screen. Some areas are very clear and sharp and others are blurred.

It is very annoying when viewing small text. And I do that a lot because I'm a coder.

Is this a monitor problem or is it the graphics card (Hercules Prophet GF2 MX)

I've checked both the Hercules and LG sites for information about your products. However, the LG web site does not seem to be too clear about what refresh rates the monitor will support at each resolution level... so do you know what refresh rate it will support up to at 1280*1024?

Yes, 85Hz

If I lower the refresh rate and/or the resolution the blurriness stays.

Some people say it has to do with the MX (radio interferance filter) and others blame it on the monitor.

I don't know what to do. Grrr, I don't like this at all.
