I have programs loading in startup that I don't even know what they are. I uncheck them on the startup tab of the system config and they still come back everytime I reboot. These are the programs: TVM, Arupdate, and WToolsA. My computer is running slow and rather than format and start over I'd really just like to run the least amount of programs and see how it runs. How can I stop these programs?

I'd d/l and run Spybot S&D v1.3 and the new Ad-aware SE ... sounds like spyware and perhaps virus issus issues if they keep coming back on-reboot.

Make sure you update any spyware prgm you d/l 1st.
