What is the question? If it's 'Is this a good gaming system?', then the answer is probably, depending on how pretty you want your games to look.

If you can afford it, I would def recommend grabbing a Phenom II (X3 or X4) instead, and maybe even a faster card, like a 4890 or 275. Better yet, wait a bit for the 5 series ati cards to comes out. Hopefully that will drive the prices of the 4 series down.

If you dont want to pay the price for a 4890 then a 4870 will work also. I agree with chatelain you should try and go with a phenom II x3 or x4 if you can. Also I have a WD 640 caviar black 2x that I really like and from what I understand the 750GB disk runs a touch faster than the 640GB due to denser platters and it isn't all that much more expensive.

It looks like you are on a budget and if you look around on the home built forum you may be able to get some good ideas as to what a good budget system looks like.

Don't get phenom 9950, really, don't. You should be looking at Phenom II like Phenom II X4 955. Or if You want cheaper then Phenom II X3 720

I would recommend HD4870 1GB or GTS 260 for video card.

If You could provide the list with prices and links that you have selected it could be easier to advise what to change on the rest of components to fit your budget.

I think 750 GB uses 3x250GB platters and 640GB uses 2x320GB platters so they are actually denser and faster on 640GB.

ainarssems,
I am just curious but why are you not recommending the 9950? I understand the difference between the 955. But from some of the benchmark charts I have seen the 9950 ranks higher than the X3 720.
