Hi, When I usually play a game I download patches when there is any to download, but if I have recently bought a game and there is lets say for arguments sake 5 or 6 previous patches to download for the game, to I have to download each one separately, or is there a way I can perform this action by downloading all at once? thanks for any help.

Welcome to the world of gaming where games writers dont iron out eveyr bug before release.... Im sure its deliberate, least that they way i feel about it some days.
Mind you... add on map packs (cod series) for consoles are just as bad, game costs £40 and each map pack another £8.00
Hi, thanks JIM answered my question easily !!! great.
Its not always the case though, bf2 had both patches from std to 1.3 (or example) and from 1.2 to 1.3. Make sure you are downloading the right ones. Any specific examples?
Try Company of Heroes. There are mostly incremental patches and you need to patch in one of a few compatible update orders for it to work. Although there is a P2P downloader for the game that does most of the dependency checking for you, but P2P isn't always that fast.
